The Red Muck mk.2 is a massive, musical fuzz-distortion inspired by the '71 Triangle and later Red Army/Civil War Muff circuits. It spans lyrical sustain, varied compression and huge stoner-fuzz walls while retaining the smoother, authoritative voice that defines the Red Muck.

A dedicated Boost section hits the front of the fuzz for even thicker saturation or works as a second high-gain stage when the main Gain is set lower. Choose symmetrical clipping for the original mk.1 response or asymmetrical clipping for a different feel and harmonic profile. The result is two instantly accessible gain levels and a wider palette from one pedal.

“Relic” Red Muck details

Muff-inspired voice
The circuit combines early Triangle and later Red Army/Civil War influences, covering singing sustain, dense saturation and multiple compression levels.

Dedicated Boost
The left footswitch engages a separately tuned section before the fuzz. An internal trimmer sets its level.

Two clipping modes
The toggle selects symmetrical clipping, matching the Red Muck mk.1, or asymmetrical clipping for a different response and harmonic texture.

Controls
Level sets output, Tone shapes the frequency balance and Gain controls saturation. The right footswitch engages the main effect.
