The Chill is a no-frills analog sine-wave tremolo that captures the lush, flowing pulse of vintage Fender-style amplifiers. From slow, mellow movement to surf and spaghetti-western rhythms, it delivers warm amplitude modulation with three controls that are quick to understand and difficult to misdial.

Carbon-composition resistors give the circuit an extra layer of harmonic richness, and the pedal doubles as a warm clean boost: turn Depth to zero and use Level to lift the signal. Whether you need a classic tremolo, a gentle rhythmic bed or a characterful boost, the Chill keeps the setup simple and the sound musical.

John Achenbach is a Storyboard Artist and Animation Professional with a long history on the legendary show “The Simpsons” and a guitarist/musician. The “Achenbach Series” is the result of a loving friendship that has developed through the years out of mutual respect for what each of us does!

About Chill:

Analog sine-wave tremolo
The circuit produces smooth, vintage-style amplitude modulation suited to surf, western and slow pulsing textures.

Warm boost mode
Set Depth to zero to remove modulation, then use Level as a harmonically rich clean boost.

Controls
Level sets output, Depth controls modulation intensity and Speed sets the tremolo rate.
