The Delay Llama mk.3 is an all-analog BBD delay that adds warm, organic repeats without obscuring the sound and touch of your instrument. Its tape-like character, simple three-knob layout and 600 ms maximum delay time make it equally suited to subtle depth, classic slapback and spacious rhythmic echoes.

Tap tempo with three subdivisions brings modern control to the circuit, while the HOLD function pushes the repeats into expressive self-oscillation. Choose true bypass for a completely direct signal path or buffered trails bypass for repeats that fade naturally after the effect is switched off. It works beautifully with guitar and bass.

Delay Llama details

Analog repeats
BBD chips modelled after the Panasonic MN3205 produce warm repeats that blend naturally with the dry signal. Maximum delay time is 600 ms.

Controls

  • Time sets delay time; Repeats controls feedback; Level sets the repeats above the dry signal.
  • The subdivision toggle selects eighth notes, quarter notes or dotted eighth notes.

Tap tempo and HOLD
Tap the right footswitch at least twice to set tempo. Keep it pressed to engage HOLD/self-oscillation for as long as the switch is held.


True bypass or trails
The pedal ships in true-bypass mode. To select buffered trails bypass, disconnect power, hold TAP, reconnect power and release after three LED blinks. Repeat the process to return to true bypass; two blinks confirm the change.

Internal adjustment
One trimmer sets the maximum number of repeats. A second sets the trails fade-out time in buffered-bypass mode.
